Periodic INAIL inspections for cranes and crane-equipped containers: from preliminary checks to the inspection report

Vehicle-mounted cranes and crane-equipped containers are subject to periodic inspections required by Italian regulations. At TECAM Service, we support customers throughout this process, preparing their equipment for inspection and making our premises available for the required tests.

The request

The customer needs to arrange the periodic inspection of a crane or crane-equipped container in accordance with INAIL requirements. Before the appointment with the authorised inspector, they need to check the equipment’s condition and address any faults.

The solution

The work begins in our workshop with a preliminary equipment inspection, during which we check its operation, general condition and safety systems. If we identify faults or components requiring attention, the TECAM Service team carries out the necessary repairs and prepares the equipment for the subsequent inspection.

Our premises then host the formal periodic inspection, conducted by the appointed authorised inspectors. This includes the checks required for the equipment, such as:

  • testing the machine;
  • checking safety devices and systems;
  • carrying out functional tests and, where required, load tests;
  • performing any additional checks required for the specific equipment.

The result

Once the inspection is complete, an INAIL periodic inspection report is issued for the crane or crane-equipped container.
