Restoration of a front-loading compactor: structural repair on the body and ejection plate

Older vehicles often continue operating under very demanding working conditions. Over time, wear and mechanical stress affect key structural components, reducing efficiency and increasing the risk of vehicle downtime.
This was the case of a front-loading compactor brought to TECAM Service with several structural issues inside the body.
The request

The request
The vehicle showed severe wear on the internal sections of the body. The internal guides were heavily worn and the ejection plate was no longer operating correctly.
The condition of the structure made the vehicle difficult to use properly and risked further compromising the compaction system.
The customer therefore required a targeted intervention to restore the internal structure of the compactor and bring the vehicle back to reliable operating conditions.
The solution
The TECAM Service team carried out repairs on the body and on the internal, most affected components.
The intervention included:
- repair of the body and internal sections
- reconstruction and reinforcement of the internal guides
- restoration of the ejection plate
- repair of the ejection plate structure
A structural intervention involving fabrication work and restoration of the areas most exposed to stress during the vehicle’s daily operations.

The result
The compactor returned to operation with a restored internal structure and a fully functional ejection system.
Projects like this require direct experience with waste collection vehicles and in-depth knowledge of the areas most exposed to long-term wear.
